Description
Electric Vehicle Immobiliser Plug for Type 2
The Laser EVIP 2 Electric Vehicle Immobilisation Plug is a professional safety device designed to securely immobilise electric vehicles by connecting directly to the vehicle’s Type 2 charging port. When inserted, the EVIP 2 simulates an active charging connection, triggering the vehicle’s built‑in charging protocol and preventing it from being driven — even if the ignition is switched on. This makes it an essential safety tool for workshops, roadside recovery operators, vehicle transporters and emergency services working with EVs.
Compatible with a wide range of electric and plug‑in hybrid vehicles equipped with a Type 2 charge port, including models from Audi, BMW, BYD, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Lucid Air, Mercedes‑Benz, MINI, Nissan (Leaf 2018+), Polestar, Porsche, Range Rover P400e, Renault, Smart, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.
Constructed from durable polycarbonate with copper alloy contacts, the EVIP 2 features a high‑visibility orange finish and an integrated safety warning tag to clearly indicate immobilisation. The tag includes a writable overlay for authorised personnel, supporting workshop lockout/tagout procedures. With IP65 protection, CE, REACH and RoHS compliance, plus a supplied soft‑shell protective carry case, the EVIP 2 provides a robust and professional solution for EV safety management.
